We stopped answering our landlines bc of telemarketing. Caller ID helped a little, but then cellphones came along and we could deal, but telemarketers figured out how to call cells. Now I don’t answer my cell. Email is unusable without extensive filters, bc every time you give a website your email (demanded within 2 seconds of visiting a site), they start bombarding you AND they sell your email, so others can bombard you. I’m so sick of it. 1/2

@KLB in Spain we have a thing called "The Robinson List" where yo list all the phone numbers where telemarketing can't phone you if the company calling you doesn't have direct, contractual, relationship with you. For example, your gas company or your phone company. It reduced all that kind of phone calls to a very minimum (there is always some company taht doen's matter and calls you illegally).
@KLB Even then, the majority of these phone calls are detected and sent directly to spam. Besides from that I never give the emails I use to anybody. I have one in hotmail only for that. I never subscribe to online media or other webs that says "open a free account, give me your email". And never give my real phone number too. On mobile, I never answer if the number isn't in my agenda (if you want to reach me contact me before calling via whatsapp or telegram).
