@cedric Not too heavy on the admin side once it's set up - generally just keeping it updated and some basic housekeeping. It requires average server hardware, and a fair bit of disk space (glasgow.social is using about 100Gb). I run it on amazon, my costs are around £90/month and I expect that to handle 1-2k active users (but I also run Matrix on that server).
